Enrollment Information

Process 1: Enrolling a Pre-Registered (Feeder District) Incoming Freshman or Returning Student
(Skip this step if you are a Transfer Student).

  • Step 1: Create or Log Into your PowerSchool Parent Portal Account

    • If you already have a Parent Portal account, use your username / password

    • If you do not already have a Parent Portal Account, you should have received a letter with the information necessary to link your account with your student(s). If you do not have this, reach out to your home school.

  • Step 2: Work through the Registration Form including uploading any documentation you may need to provide for residency or new student enrollment.

  • Step 3: After submitting your registration, you will be notified when your registration is complete and your student is registered.

Residency Paperwork Needed for New Students and Some Returning Students

  • Enrolling parent’s photo ID (Driver's License, State ID, or Consulate Card (Please note that TVDL IDs are not accepted)

  • Birth certificate of student

  • Current mortgage statement, property tax statement, or lease 

  • Two current utility bills

  • Current physical/medical records

Process 2: Enrolling a Transfer Student

  • Step 1: Contact or visit your home school that your student will attend based on the district boundaries.

  • Step 2: You will need to provide some preliminary paperwork in order to register:

    • For example, residency proof, ISBE transfer paperwork, IEP paperwork etc...

  • Step 3: The school will provide a link for you to complete registration.

Necessary Paperwork Needed for Transfer Students

  • Enrolling parent’s photo ID (Driver's License, State ID, or Consulate Card (Please note that TVDL IDs are not accepted)

  • Birth certificate of student

  • Current mortgage statement, property tax statement, or lease 

  • Two current utility bills

  • Current physical/medical records

  • ISBE transfer form (only if coming from another Illinois public school)

  • Unofficial transcript

  • Grades in progress (only if transferring in the middle of a semester)

You can bring these documents to your student's school between 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday.
